The Commonwealth Center for Children & Adolescents is an acute care, mental health facility for youth under the age of 18 years, operated by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, formerly known as Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services.

It is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.

Admissions to the Center are based on referrals from a community mental health agency or juvenile court.
